Reliable hosting with a nice return policy

They have a comprehensive, written “Return” policy that is extremely customer-oriented, allowing you to cancel everything from domain names to web hosting accounts if you are dissatisfied.

You can cancel domain names within 3 days, web hosting and e-mail packages within the first SIX MONTHS, and VPS packages can be cancelled at any time. If you paid for a year and used six months, you will be refunded six months. If you paid for a year and used one day, you will be refunded 100%, just as an example. They make it very easy to switch if you’re dissatisfied.

Features

Plenty of very nice features

With all shared plans, you get a choice of Windows or Linux operating systems. Even the low-end plan includes 200GB of disk space and unlimited bandwidth, while the other two include unlimited everything, including add-on domains. The primary difference is improved hardware and software on the Maximal plan, as well as features such as Reverse IP’s, 10 fee IPv6 addresses, and free SEO tools, which the other plans don’t have. There is no contract, with the minimum commitment for all plans just one month.

I am in LOVE with their dedicated servers, as all of them have a minimum of 32GB RAM, and either have 2x 2TB RAID 1 hard drives or 2x240GB SSD hard drives. All of the CPU’s are on i7 Quad Core processors, and even though there’s an added set up fee, it’s surprisingly affordable. They also have a single VPS plan that features 1GB of RAM and 20GB of disk space, but it’s pretty affordable. You can also choose between Windows or plenty of Linux OS, get a free dedicated IP, and much more.

Support

Very fast turn around times for tech issues

They offer an excellent turn around time for all support tickets (1 hour), 24 hours per day. They also have a 16/hour a day Technical Support line and an 8 hour a day sales line to call if you’re having issues. They have an entire support section dedicated for customers, including FAQ’s, instructional videos, documentations, and much more. It is much more comprehensive than any knowledge base I’ve seen in a host. Support is easily one of their pluses.

Pricing

Variety of different pricing points

While the service is undeniably great, the prices are rather expensive. The minimal hosting plan, which actually has pretty good features, is only $12 USD monthly, but the other plans that allow you to host more than 1 website are ridiculously pricey, such as $47.50 monthly for the optimal plan or $82.59 for the maximal plan.

On the other hand, they have awesome dedicated servers at great prices. Non SSD servers with 32GB of RAM cost just $65 monthly, with a $65 setup fee, while either a 32GB + SSD or 48GB with 4TB 7200 RPM disks costs $75 per month each, with a $75 setup fee as well. That’s much cheaper than most dedicated servers around, and most have nowhere near that type of power. Even better, there’s no minimum contact. They only have 1 VPS package but it’s extremely cheap at under $10 USD per month, with tax included.

Summary

Some services great – Others over priced

It’s crazy to me how a company can have such great services, yet one be ridiculously expensive and the other very affordable. Either way, Alantron is extremely reliable and offers great support services. I especially recommend them if you’re in search for dedicated servers, as they really have some of the best ones.
